Growing up, Colette trained under Penny Kinnally, whose mentorship guided her in the hunter and equitation arenas. Along the way, she was privileged to participate in clinics led by renowned equestrians Nick Karazissis and George Morris. Seeking to improve her understanding of the sport, Colette also traveled to France, where she trained alongside Olympic prospect Joan McLaren.

While pursuing her education at the University of Connecticut, Colette thrived as the team captain of the university's IHSA team. While at the university she also trained her own horse from being unhandled, to jumping 2’6. Outside of the University, she also trained a young horse to jump up to 3’.

Now, Colette sets her sights on a new chapter in her equestrian journey, aspiring to be in the Grand Prix arena. Now riding with Signature Stables, training under Jenn Tirrell, she is working to expand her knowledge, as well as network with the equestrian community around her.
